Is that I am actually quite excited about next season. Even though we lost someone of so much talent as Alomar, with all these trades and the fact that these players are "unproven" just makes following the team so much more fun. It just will be fun to get involved with younger players and really rooting that they do well, instead of pretty much know what to expect every time.

I agree. As much as I want this team to contend next year, the reality is that if they did not make this trade, they may have done mothing. How excited would everyone have been if the Brady Anderson signing was all that we did? I prefer this just because we actually have players with potential that haven't played for us yet. Plus, I know that Shapiro isn't done. Everyone said that the Indians maxed out their potential last season with what we had last year. Well, if we didn't do this, then we would have had last year's team minus Lofton, Burba, and most importantly Gonzalez. At least this is now a new team with new potential. Who knows, with Eddie Murray on board, Bradley and Escobar could blow away everyone and become a great outfield with Lawton. I'm at least excited to watch the Indians now for next season, where I wasn't before this. As I fan I would've anyways, but now at least I want to.
